Are You Experiencing Frizzy Hair?
I have type 4 hair that has been chemically straightened and kept natural. The number 1 problem that I have in both hair states is FRIZZ!! I have never been someone to have naturally smooth cuticles, defined curls etc., except when my hair is drenched in water of course. But as soon as the water dries, so do my hair strands. They stick out like an old, frayed broom. Facing multiple directions. Crying for water (and help). Frizzy hair is pretty much what happens when your hair is dry and thirsty and tries to collect water (even just a drop) from the air. It can happen in any of these scenarios: Humid weather Application of heat to the hair (which dries the hair) or the use of warm to hot water Hair damage such as from coloring, blow drying on high heat, frequent hair straightening without heat protectant. Hair that has fine texture or of low or high porosity In some of the scenarios above, it was not your fault. Like who can ...
